Motor-Services Hugo Stamp, Inc. (MSHS)

Motor-Services Hugo Stamp, Inc. (MSHS) was founded in 1983. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the company started operating as a marine diesel repair center specializing in propulsion engines. Within a short while, by 1987, MSHS had its first of many complete engine overhauls. The job included the overhaul of two large medium-speed engines, representing a break-through for the company. Upon the successful completion of the project, MSHS was recognized for its capability to repair and overhaul medium and slow-speed diesel engines, in addition to high speed engines services.

MSHS extended its portfolio by adding additional OEM authorizations and turnkey turbocharger services in 1993. At the same time the company relocated to its current South Florida headquarters and has been constantly developing its infrastructure and service capabilities to support customers throughout the marine, power generation and industrial markets. Recognized as an industry-leader, MSHS has continued to expand, most recently opening two full-service Turbocharger facilities in Harahan, Louisiana and Freeport, Bahamas in 2013.

Governor Control Systems, LLC. (GCS)

Responding to customer needs, MSHS established a division specialized in governor repairs in 1994. Going forward, the MSHS Group formed Governor Control Systems, LLC. (GCS) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1998 and became an authorized service and distribution facility for Woodward, the market leader in governor and control systems.

GCS has continued cultivating Woodward authorized operations throughout the United States. In 2007, GCS established a full-service Woodward Authorized facility in the New Orleans, Louisiana area, serving the offshore, power generation and marine markets in the Gulf Coast. The GCS service center in Norfolk, Virginia was established in 2011, providing services and support for Woodward marine and power generation customers within the Mid-Atlantic region. The company extended its reach with the launch of GCS Seattle in 2013, delivering Woodward authorized service, repair and control systems for the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii. Most recently, GCS opened a Woodward authorized mechanical service and repair facility in Freeport, Grand Bahama in 2014. To date, GCS is the largest Woodward Channel Partner globally and continues to invest in serving customers as part of the MSHS Group.
